Art consultancy by Double Decker - Battersea Power Station

Anna was commissioned this shoot by Double Decker a curating company that collaborated with interior design studio Michaelis Boyd Associates and Conran Contracts as the project’s art consultants.

Wilhelm Finger and Melina Skamnaki are the leading duo behind Double Decker, a team of experienced curators and designers.

The apartment was located within Battersea Power Station, one of London’s most well known landmarks, an iconic Grade II* listed building, a discomission coal-fired power station, located on the south bank of the River Thames.

Originally it was built by the London Power Company (LPC) to the design of Leonard Pearce, engineer in Chief to the LPC and CS Allott and Son Engineers. The architects were J Theo Halliday and Giles Gilbert Scott.

The brief was to show the art within the appointed space. The soft muted tones of the apartment acts as a calming backdrop to the stand out art pieces.
