Swedish Architect Klas Hyllén’s Home - Bradford-On-Avon

Klas believes that all good architecture is the result of successful collaboration – between clients, design team members, builders and craftsmen.
Adam was commissioned by Swedish Architect Klas Hyllén, who has been working on his own family home in Bradford-On-Avon for several years. He has converted this old wine store into a modern scandi home, with plenty of natural timber finishes and beautiful design touches, such as a hanging birch staircase.
“Together we will create something truly outstanding.”
Klas says: “We believe that all good architecture is the result of successful collaboration – between our clients, design team members, builders and craftsmen. Together we will create something truly outstanding. We make beautiful, high quality spaces for living, working or playing, and we’re interested in all types of projects.”
Adam’s task was to showcase the high quality of the build. Klas believes in simplicity with a high attention to detail, where natural light, clarity in plan, choice of materials and elegance in detail execution will drive design decisions. With Adam’s use of natural light, tethering and his Nikon Z6, the client was thrilled with the delivered results.
Klas loves to celebrate good craftsmanship and connections to nature, working with materials honestly with a belief that better architecture is environmentally considerate and fit for a lifetime.
The architect’s approach is rooted in a genuine interest in people, context, narrative and history. They believe that good architecture should be timeless, and remain adaptable and inclusive.
As such they don’t have a particular style, and they approach each project as a unique opportunity to create something special. Their proposals will evolve from a contemporary interpretation of the existing context and develop in conversation with the client – tailored to their needs, ambitions, dreams, and budget.
